Service Levels are user-defined criteria to ensure that customer/end user expectations are agreed and are being met.

In the below example we have an agreement with our hosting provider that:

  • 98% of email will be sent/received within 10 seconds
  • 98% of network connections to our server will complete in less than 1 second
  • 98% of visitors to our home page will download in less than 6 seconds
